Architectural art installation “Ukraine in my thoughts”

The initiators of this unique project were BUDZIRKA and human rights activist and cultural ambassador Kateryna Kucherova, who brought the idea to life through her acquaintance with the talented artist Avtandil Gurgenidze.

Avtandil Gurgenidze, who has already gained popularity in Ukraine thanks to his nine-year-old project of painting an old AN-24 passenger plane in the hangar of Kyiv International Airport, continues to amaze with the scale and originality of his works.

His new masterpiece, Ukraine in My Thoughts, is the first work of the artist to be officially titled. This painting is not only depicted on canvas, but also reproduced as a facade panel that adorns the building. The panel is made of Fundermax HPL panels, each element of which is carefully cut and assembled at BUDZIRKA. The project was created with a deep love for art and Ukraine.

The finished panel is placed on the wall of the auxiliary annex of the Training Center for Prosecutors of Ukraine. This center breaks stereotypes about government institutions associated with bureaucracy and conservatism. Instead of drabness, it has bright, modern interiors, instead of old approaches, it has innovations, and instead of officialdom, it has openness and creativity.

“That's why we had the idea to revive the faceless wall of the utility annex with a bright facade panel,” the organizers of the art installation share.

The result exceeded expectations: the bright, detailed work has become not only a decoration of the center, but also a symbol of renewal, creativity and openness inherent in modern Ukraine.
